As Winter settles in the DC area, we'll be taking a break from playing out live to focus on preparing for our third album. We've been playing these songs at shows throughout the past year but it is finally time to commit them to tape. In January we'll be back in the studio to record eleven songs for our longest album yet. This one will have a mellower vibe; it is kind of like our Led Zeppelin III! There will be acoustic guitars, harmony vocals, new studio toys to experiment with. This should be our most diverse record yet as everybody contributes their own original songs to the effort.
We expect to have the new record out in the Springtime. It will be available digitally at all the usual places and we should have plenty of CDs if you are old-fashioned and like to have the record in your hands. There will be a record release show to celebrate. Details to come!
Steve will be doing an acoustic set at the Arlington Pub in Arlington, VA on Friday January 6. This is a small coffee house and beer and wine bar above the Whole Foods in Clarendon. Steve plays from 6pm to 8pm. There is no cover charge! Good times!
